2019 Fond Memories – Record Them Lest You Forget – Part 1 of 2

It is that time of year to take a look at 2021 with fond memories and create New Year Goals for 2022.

About this time every year, we start to think, “What do I want to accomplish next year?” What are my New Year Goals for 2022? And to make better New Year Goals, let’s reflect on what we have accomplished.

Before we jump right into 2022, let’s take a moment to reflect on 2021.

There are a ton of questions we could ask ourselves. And it will take time to reflect on these. Though despite the hindsight effort required, we can gain a special appreciation for 2021.

Through this appreciation, we can focus our efforts in 2022 to gain stellar achievements.

There is a saying, “The Days Pass Slowly But The Years Fly By.”

Take a few moments to ponder and write answers to the 2021 reflection questions. (They are great to read in the future, as well.)

Consider these questions for your year-end review:

If

  • If you had to describe your 2021 in 3 words, what would they be?
  • If this year were a movie, what happened?
  • If someone wrote a book about your life in 2021, what kind of genre would it be? A comedy, love story, drama, film noir, or something else?

You

  • If you had the top 3 buckets of energy, what would be the label on each bucket? (Where did I mostly spend my time and energy?)
  • What did you think about more than anything else?
  • What was your single biggest time-waster in your life this past year?

Family

  • What one event, big or small, are you going to tell your grandchildren?
  • What was the best thing you did with your family this year?
  • In Part 2, the next categories of questions –
  • People
  • Adventures
  • Moment
  • Things
  • Do Life Better
