How?
- Give Fitness Friends Priority, and they will reciprocate
- Stay in touch. Check-in with calls, texts, snaps. Offer wake up calls and reminders, take turns driving to the gym. We are in this together for the better.
- Time is the most precious resource. Be respectful & Be on time! (Always!)
- Push your partner as they do you. And celebrate and praise together for your accomplishments.
- Keep it fresh by trying new ideas and changing routines.
- When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Remember your Whys and your goals. Be Persistent and Consistent!
- Life is what happens when we are planning everything else. Illness happens, travel happens, kids happen. Encourage and make it easy for them to get back on track.
- Develop your friendship and just talk. (Be careful and respectful, keep away from negative topics, it can zap your energy and your fitness friendship.)
Be the fitness friend you want in your life.
Remember, you are not married to your fitness friend. If it isn’t working, talk it out and now might not work. Don’t stop being a better you, find a better fit.
