Hibernation is Action
With the beautiful snow all around, sometimes we forget to look at things we don’t see.
For example, trees.
All the leaves are gone and when we look out upon all the white glory, often our gaze passes right by the trees.
Take a moment to admire trees. The shear beauty with intricate branches intertwined, stately standing there.
What we don’t see.
Leaves.
Growth.
Progression.
We know the trees are not dead, they are simply patiently waiting, enduring challenges.
In winter, we have much in common, like hibernating. With cold weather, we too become inactive. With longer nights, we sleep more. Less sunlit days are draining. Indoors more and around others who may be sick.
Hibernation is still action. Knowing Spring, bursting with activity, is around the corner.
Our challenge is to prepare for Spring by focusing on our health today. Health is earned everyday. Appreciate the one thing you can not buy, your health.
Keep moving daily in ways that challenge you. Get out in the cold, to appreciate warmth. Eat healthy food. Take vitamins. Wash your hands, more. Challenge yourself to be cold/flu {sick} free. Appreciate not having to experience dis-ease.
What can we see in trees?
Strength.
Beauty.
Resilience.
We can see the same in you. Have grace knowing you need patience to wait for the beautiful work that is currently unseen to be shown.
