Holidays – Ready, Set, Challenge Accepted?

Holidays are a time when discipline goes out the door, when family, friends, and sugar let themselves in. (And not to mention colder weather with less daylight also get us into hibernation mode.)

It is a cycle we repeat, annually.  Some call it a tradition.

Care to stop the cycle?  There are a few proven ways to disrupt, and perhaps the easiest is a challenge.

Holiday Challenge

At the beginning of Nov, we started the Holiday Fit Challenge.  The BIG goal was for those who joined us to keep the weight off and, dare we say, lose weight between Nov 1st and Jan 1st.  

Bigger picture; we wanted to help stop the cycle of losing the same 10 pounds over and over.

Unfortunately, our challenge is closed to new participants. (We have a new one coming in Jan. It will be announced mid-Dec, yay!)

Instead, look to challenge yourself with your Fitness Friend.  

(Fitness Friend? Read Why? Change? Buddy? Where? Group? Be That? – Each word is a different topic)

How?

1) Fitness Friend & You agree you want to maintain weight over the holidays

2) You each take a picture of your toes on the scale and exchange pictures

*** BONUS Add this word to your picture – (see below)

3) Then you Venmo your Friend say $100.  (Enough to make it painful.)  

4) You agree on Jan 2nd you each take a new picture with the word of the day and send it

5) If you are at your weight or no more than 2.00 pounds over, you get your money back.

6) If NOT, then your friend picks a charity to donate your money to on your behalf.
