Top Do’s for You, 2022

Our best insights come from clients.  We are always talking with our clients while they train.  In part, it helps them to keep their mind off of the task at hand.  Secondly, we use it as a gauge to determine the level of effort.

While training a client this past weekend, I had one client tell me about her 2022 Bucket List.

This caught me off guard.

With the activities of the Holiday Season swirling around us, it is easy to become focused on what’s next.  Parties, gifts, friends, family, days off.

This client inspired and reminded me, 2022 is literally that close.  And this is a great time to talk about 2022 goals with clients.

The best goals are SMART goals

S – Specific

M – Measurable

A – Achievable

R – Realistic

T – Timely

SMART Goals

However, any time we can get Specific & Measurable, the rest seems to fall in place.  (I guess as trainers we throw our 2 cents in there on Realistic)

What are your top 3 Health Goals for 2022?

– For each list “What” you want to accomplish (with as many Specific & Measurable as possible)

Bad example, I want to lose weight

Good example, I want to lose 15 pounds

Great example, I want to lose 15 pounds by March 1st

Best example, I want to lose 15 pounds by March 1st 2022 and keep it off through December 31st.

For another goal

Good example – I want to complete one 5K per month

Best example – Every month I want to complete, 5Ks each time faster than the previous.
